Geocache Description:

Enjoy the cache as you learn about the history of the Shamrock CEOS. It is a pretty little spot to stop and stretch your legs. Be sure to check out the Irish Spring Festival each March!

Swag in this cache, so be sure to leave something! May the luck of the Irish be with you!

The Shamrock Farm Women's Club was formed in 1959 at Ireland, WV. It was later called the Shamrock Extension Homemakers Club and today (2014) it is called the Shamrock Community Educational Outreach Service Club. The first President was Pearl Pickens, who was also the first Queen of the Irish Spring Festival. Monthly meetings take place at the Ireland Community Building, a former schoolhouse.
