Geocache Description:

One of a few caches set out in the vast grounds of Eglinton Country Park, which is host to the campsite for the 7th UK Mega Ayrshire & Arran. Theses are set out for you to enjoy the many paths which you can walk and explore the area and see the wildlife.

The path surface  can vary from tarmac, gravel or rough ground. Some of the paths are suitable for buggys, wheelchairs etc but some will include a small incline. As always the paths can get muddy and slippy when wet so suitable footwear recommended.

The Lugton Water, the largest tributary of the River Garnock, runs 14 miles from Loch Libo in Uplawmoor, through Lugton and the parishes of Neilston, Beith, Dunlop, Stewarton and Kilwinning. The Lugton joins the Garnock River, shortly after passing through Eglinton Country Park, developed around the ancient estate of the Earl of Eglinton.
