It was the heady days just after the turn of the millennium. In those ancient days someone could buy a house today and sell it tomorrow for twice what he bought it for (not quite, but close). Everywhere you would turn housing developments were cropping up and anyone with the available land could turn a tidy profit. Then 2006 hit and people quit buying houses. So many developments were left half-built.
This is one of those developments. Along Cook Road is the portion that was completed with houses and nice yards, but as you drive back from there, the wooded lots remain just that, wooded lots, on nicely paved roads. The roads have remained in great shape because almost no one drives down there, and it has become a Mecca for cyclists.
Beware of thorns as you hunt down this cache.
