When I was a kid, my family used to camp at Haywire Bay every summer. We found this trail not long after we started camping and we named it Fairyland. Now that my kids are around the same age we were then, we have started camping here as well, and I thought what a better way to introduce them to Fairyland than to place a geocache here for all families to find.
*Note: This summer the campsite installed No Parking signs in the area we had previously used for parking. You must now park in the campsite and walk back through the gates to the entrance of the trail.* The mouth of the trail is directly across the road from the old parking area. Continue down the trail and you will come across the buildings for the outdoor recreation program that is run through the Powell River School District. Shortly after those buildings you will start on the boardwalk. You will see two curved trees that will let you know you're in the right area.
