Three Trunks Traditional Cache

The cache is located close to a pond known locally as 12 Yarder. Billinge Hill can be seen from this location. A walk to the top provides views over to North Wales. The woods surrounding Crank Caverns can be seen also. The Caverns are accessable on foot but take care if you visit them. There are unprotected steep drops. The caverns are the result of quarrying stone. The cache is also close to a popular public footpath crossing fields.

I used the local name for the adjacent pond as my log name. It seemed fitting for my first cache to be located here.The cache is a small sealed clear plastic container. The container holds a number of prizes recycled from Christmas crackers. The cache is located within the trees so a short walk is necessary over rough ground.
