If you want to experience a view of White Pine Canyon like none other, then this is the destination for you. Standing here near the ridge between the north fork of White Pine Canyon and High Creek at an elevation of 9340 feet, you'll have an amazing view down the entire length of the canyon to Highway 89. Walk hundred yards or so to the west and you'll have an equally amazing view of Cache Valley.
There is a Forest Service trail all the way up the north fork of White Pine Canyon, passing within just a few yards of the cache. It's a bit steep and a little hard to follow for the last half-mile or so, but not too bad otherwise. The closest trail heads are at Tony Grove Lake, the mouth of Bunchgrass on Highway 89, or Steam Mill Canyon near the mouth of Franklin Basin. I suggest a riding horse if you have one.
The cache is a small plastic container hanging at waist level on the east side of a pine tree.
