East of White Pine Lake is a series of benches similar to but much less explored than those west of Tony Grove Lake. At the north end of the lake is steep unofficial trail that people take to reach the top of Mount Gog. If you find the trail and take it to the prominent saddle immediately west of Gog you'll find another unofficial trail that leads to the first bench level.
You can even get to Naomi Peak by working your way up through the series of benches, but you'll need to pick your route carefully. I've done it more than once with 12-year-old boys and full backpacks, but I'm not recommending it. If going to Naomi I stay toward the north and west as I progress from bench to bench, then I go south and up a steep but passable chute leading directly from the highest bench to the most prominent peak. Once on top you'll find the real Naomi Peak about 350 yards to the south.
This cache at an elevation of 9070 feet marks the beginning of the access trail to the first bench area. It is a small plastic container hanging chest high in a spruce tree next to the trail.
