First in a series of caches that will bring you to an area that we hope you might see some beavers hard at work or at the very least you will see plenty of evidence that they are somewhere near. If you see one and you are able to get a photo we would love to see it.
If you are able to drive to the parking area this will be about a half mile walk along Tarlton Road to a small pond with lots of beaver activity. The Mill Sluice foot trail will is a little more scenic and will take you to the location as well. Saw the beaver swimming around working on his dam on our first visit here and he wasn't bashful. came right up to the edge to see what we were up to. Cache is a micro bison hanging low on a tree branch near the edge of the pond. Only has a log sheet so bring a pen. Enjoy your visit and don't forget bug spray and wear orange during hunting season.
Congrats to alvarezmahon for the first to find.
