We were out doing some cache maintenance today and drove by this cemetery without a cache. We decided we can't have that, pulled over and placed a cache here.
There was a cache previously placed here, but in a different location.
We really enjoy finding cemetery caches in the country cemeteries and wanted to bring you to this cemetery.
We have found too often we do not take the time to actually read very many of the monuments in cemeteries when we are caching. We are always on a mission to get to the next cache. We also seem to fall short in appreciating some of our veterans. We have starting making it a point to find at least a few plaques or head stones with information on our veterans. Notice some of the monuments in this cemetery today and say a Thank You to them for their service. Another thing we have started doing is carrying flags with us and placing one at each cemetery we go in on a veteran’s grave that does not have one. We challenge you to do the same.
As always it is not advisable to hunt for cemetery caches after dark. Please show respect to any visitors who might be visiting the cemetery.
Geocaching is a fun hobby in which many find enjoyment. Hope you have as much enjoyment in finding caches as we do in hiding and finding others. Part of that enjoyment is reading the logs you write on your posts. Thank you for your logs.
