More information on the Te Araroa trail (New Zealand's Trail) is available on their website: http://www.teararoa.org.nz - This segment runs from Remiger Road to Puhoi, it can be walked in either direction. We recommend parking a car at each end if possible. There are some hills along this pathway which, unless you're super-fit you probably won't want to do again for a return walk to the car.

This shows the relief of the trail heading westbound - from the other end.
These caches were placed in the middle of winter after weeks of horrendous rain, so we probably got to see the track at its worst. Patches were extremely muddy, there are large segments of this trail where no base has been put down, having said this, with care it was perfectly walkable, but we did appreciate having good tread on our hiking boots.
This bridge is pretty amazing, it's very well made, it can apparently hold 10 people at once! I challenge you to upload a photo of you and your group (optional) on the bridge, all at once. (Presuming that you have 10 or less people).
This cache has been placed on the road side of the bridge and should be reasonably easy to find. Where possible we've placed these caches so that they are not at ground level.
This cache is smaller than most, like you, it's hanging onto the bridge for its dear life. :)
