No Night Caching. Furguson Cemetery is in the middle of nowhere, good place for it. The name of the cache comes from a headstone nearby with the name of Lackey, and we have our own Geocaching "Lackeys," so I thought the name fits.
The stone of Mary Handsford is close by. It is hand carved and dates back to 1758 birth, 1821 death. Her husband John Short was in the Revolutionary War, the "Virginia Militia." At least that's what the tag on his stone read. He also lived well past her death.
One strange thing I noticed was that her stone is marked, "W. of John Short." Apparently she did not take his name.
