Ephraim Clark was born May 19, 1776 in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, and died February 22, 1863 in Wayne Co., Indiana. He married Sarah Custer.

Ephram was delivered into a year absolutely filled with events which would initiate change within our nation  in many arenas. Numerous famous people joined Ephram as a new personality to the year 1776. Two personalities of interest were:

  • Sophie Germain-  Late 18th and early 19th-century mathematician, scientist, and philosopher. She is remembered for her contributions to number theory, differential geometry, and elasticity theory. Her gender barred her from higher education; nevertheless, she corresponded with famous scientists and mathematicians and earned a high degree of proficiency in her chosen fields.
  • Robert Trimble- Supreme Court Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1826 to 1828. His legacy was honored when Trimble County in Kentucky was named in his honor.
