To access this cache, you need to do the Lighthouse Trail in Cow Head. When you cross the beautiful sandbar to get access this trail, you are on what locals call The Head. The coordinates may suggest starting the trail from the lower entrance. I like to begin right at the amphitheatre. Wherever you start, be sure to complete the entire loop. The scenery is breathtaking. While on the trail, you will need to veer off on another trail called Point of the Head Trail. There is a marked sign. If you start at the amphitheatre, it is at the bottom of the stairs just after the lighthouse. If you start at the lower entrance and you reach the lighthouse, you have gone too far. This enchanted-forest type of trail through the tuckamores is simply magical. You will emerge on a beach of large boulders and a grassy area. You will want to allow yourself some time to enjoy and explore. This cache is fairly easy to access. No difficult climbing required. It is a camo sandwich-sized lock n’ lock. It contains a logbook, pencil and small trading items. There is an iron-on patch of the Newfoundland flag for the First to Find!
