Weehawk is the biggest little Seattle Seahawks fan and his goal (as is the Seahawks) is to make it to Super Bowl XLVIII in New York on February 2, 2014. We hope to get pictures of Weehawk at the game. Our family are die-hard 12’s. Both of our boys left the hospital in Seahawks garb when they were born. They both have Russell Wilson jerseys and our house has the 12 flag flying every Sunday. We thought we would share our love of the Seahawks by making a Seahawks-themed travel bug. We bought the smallest Seahawks figurine we could find. He was aptly named Weehawk due to his diminutive stature.
[update after the Big Game] The Seahawks capped off a magical season by winning Super Bowl XLVIII in convincing fashion. On behalf of the Swanson family, we would like to thank you all for your support and well wishes! The story of Weehawk's adventures will be told in our family for years to come!
Weehawk's Travels:
On August 17, 2013, Weehawk was placed in a cache in Federal Way, WA.
On August 18, a cacher from Virginia picked up Weehawk, and took him on cross country journey through 18 states. Next, Weehawk was dropped off at an event in Kentucky.
By September 27, Weehawk had landed in Rochester, New York. In mid December, Weehawk was picked up and taken to Hawaii.
On December 27, Weehawk was picked up in Hawai. He detoured through Bali, Indonesia, back to Hawaii, then landed in Providence, Rhode Island on January 17, 2014.
On January 19, Weehawk was taken to New York City and dropped off 15.8 miles from Met Life Stadium. Weehawk remained in a cache at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx until he was retrieved on Saturday, February 1 by bogey53 and PNWbrat. Weehawk was taken to Met Life Stadium on Sunday, February 2 where the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos for their first-ever Super Bowl championship! What an adventure!!!
