This cache was placed in conjunction with the 12th Man Faithful - Season Kickoff Tailgate Party event on Saturday, September 06, 2014.
The Seattle Seahawks and the power of 12 was taken to a new, quirky level in Super Bowl XLVIII.
The Seahawks opened up a 2-0 lead 12 seconds into the game when the Broncos botched a snap near their own end zone, thanks in part to the noise created by the 12th man at MetLife Stadium. The opening safety after 12 seconds of play marked the fastest score in Super Bowl history.
With exactly 12 minutes remaining in the first half, running back Marshawn Lynch scored on a 1-yard run.
Percy Harvin opened the second half with an 87-yard touchdown on a kickoff return -- only 12 seconds into the third quarter. 
The Seahawks scored 43 points in the Super Bowl. (4×3=12)
