Where: Posted coordinates in your Canoe or Kayak.
When: Sunday August 10th from 12:00pm. 2:00pm. Notice - You should be there earlier to unload your Canoe or Kayak so you can meet at the posted coordinates (out in the lake) at the correct time.
This CITO won't be for everyone. You will need a canoe or kayak to participate. We will be paddling the boat ramp up Yahoola Creek to the cache GC3VBG2 (coordinate reference only, get the cache if you like). Once we reach that point we will return paddle to the boat ramp picking up any debris we find. Unfortunately this beautiful area accumulates a bit of debris from the fisherman that use the area.
You can expect an easy 2 mile (approx) paddle on flat water. I expect it will take 2 hours to paddle up and back and clean up the pockets of trash. Add time if you plan to grab any caches that are along the route. Each boat will be given a trash bag to pick up any debris that is encountered during the trip. You may want to bring gloves to handle any rusty debris.
Anyone participating in this CITO event will receive a digital Nature Lover's souvenir in your profile from Geocaching.com.
