Angry Birds Traditional Cache

This is our last Geocache hidden along the Irwell Sculpture Trail on our walk from Burrs Country Park to Summerseat Village. The public pathway can get a little overgrown in the summer, especially at the Summerseat end and muddy in winter. Sorry not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. PLEASE TAKE CARE CROSSING THE RAILWAY LINE, you are allowed over it. Can also approach from Summerseat on the Public Footpath, behind the cottages, near the garden centre.

Lovely scenic walk along the Irwell Sculpture Trail. We have seen a variety of wildlife and met lots and people along the way. The footpath crosses  the tracks of the East Lancashire Railway line. Before you get to the cache there is a lovely area for dogs to play around and have a dip in the river, there's the remains of a rope swing, which took me back to my childhood! The East Lancashire Railway passes close by. At the end of the pathway you can continue into Ramsbottom or turn left and walk back to Burrs Country Park along Longsight Road and Brandlesholme Road.

The cache isn't a box but shouldn't be too difficult to spot. It contains a log book, pencil and some swops.
