Marmot Hole Moolah Traditional Cache

This should be a quick urban find.  No need to climb on the rock ledge or explore the neighbor's yard (or root around in a marmot den.)  Be sure to conceal the cache well when you replace it!

This is a Penny Cache!  Just big enough for a penny and a log, so bring your own pen.  Starts with a 2014 penny.  To play the game, swap for an older penny and post the penny's year in the log.  How old can we go?

The critters who live on the hill are marmots--Spokane's informal mascot animal.  They are related to squirrels.  Their preferred diet includes grass, grains, leaves, flowers, legumes, fruit, grasshoppers, and bird eggs.  Notice that french fries and cheese puffs aren't on the list.  (I decided to place a cache here while cleaning up a giant mound of cheese puff balls left by a well-meaning person.  The marmots won't touch 'em, and they don't decompose.  Makes ya wonder?)  They hybernate a lot, so if it isn't summer you might not meet them.
