Song-Köl lake
The Karakul lake lies on 3000 m in the province Naryn in Kyrgyzstan.
He extends above a surface from 270km2.
Last of the summer the shepherds with your stoves live in Jurten near the lake.
Snow cover in the lake basin persists for 180 to 200 days a year. In winter the lake surface freezes, the ice becoming as much as 1-1.2 m thick.
I have visited him on my motorcycle tour of China and Kyrgyzstan and have spent the night in a Jurte.
