Alaska Cachers Fun and Frolic at Jonesville II Event Cache

The originators of the AlaskaCachers series invite you to come join us at Jonesville for fun and frolics while we explore the Jonesville trail system and find the many caches in the area. This area features a variety of trails that can be negotiated by atv,  mountain bike, foot, and 4WD, depending on the trail followed. Some of the trails are not suitable for trucks, suv's and passenger vehicles.

The event will start at 10 AM on SUNDAY AUGUST 10, 2014.  After a short greet and meet session we will spread out and enjoy the many trails available in the area garnering smileys on the caches in the area and visiting the many interesting sites in the area.

Home base will be our RV  parked on the North side of Slipper Lake in the big parking area near GC15N26 Jonesing for a Cache.  It will be open to serve as a place to eat the lunch you bring along, relax between cache runs, shoot the breeze with your fellow cachaholics, and even as a  potty break.

There are many free camping spots in the area if you want to spend the weekend and NO PARKING FEES for this area. It should be mentioned that the camping is what is known as Alaskan rough. There are no water sources, outhouses and developed tent sites. Most the camping areas are on packed gravel. Where the event is located is on the wide almost level gravel area which used to be part of the Jonesville airstrip.
