The ammo container has been stolen and as I am also moving away from Bribie I do not see much sense in replacing. An array of activity is usually happening in these waters, from the relaxation of sailing, fishing and kayaking to the excitement of jet skis or water skiing, you can do and see it all on the passage. You can hire the equipment to enjoy most of these activities or explore the different beaches of the island”
Red Beach is located at the southern end of Bribie overlooking Moreton Island. Dogs are allowed off leash from the car park at Red Beach toward the surf side of the island to Woody Point. This is a great natural beach to explore with or without your four legged friends.
The cache is on the Bongaree side of Red Beach and can be reached by walking through the bush or along the beach, or you can do both on a round walk. Check the tide times for the beach walk!
The starting point for the bush walk is at the gate in Kendall Street. For the beach take the direction of the signs to Red Beach from Tully Street (around the corner from Kendall Street). You can park your vehicle or bicycle at the car park closer to the beach.
The cache should contain a few swaps, pen and logbook and a scratchie for the FTF. It’s big enough to also take a few TBs if you need a place for dropping off. The pen often disappears though, so better come prepared! :-)
