The cache is located on the border of a rest area and the Medicine Bow National Forest, on the rest area side of the fence. It is well hidden and might not be available when there is heavy snow or when the adjacent road has been plowed, pushing the snow off to the side.
We thought the rest area needed another cache, and what better place than at the entrance to the national forest. There are quite a few caches in the area, ranging from park and grabs to serious rock scrambling. This is a camoed bison tube that is very well hidden. It is not on the ground, so if the snow is less than 2 1/2 feet deep, it should be accessible.
