While visiting the many lakes in Iron County, please be aware of the invasive species regulations. This cache is located in the beautiful Lake Ottawa Recreation area at the boat launch. While caching, you can also enjoy the many activities this park has to offer.
Please be alert to the posted regulations including Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus, a fish disease (VHS) discovered in Michigan waters. In an attempt to slow the spread of fish diseases, regulations have been put into place. A person who trailers a boat over land shall drain all water from the live well/bilge of their boat upon leaving any body of water. It is unlawful to import any uncertified baitfish species.
