Geocache Description:

Yet another in our series of TTT: This one brings you to the Lockwood area, located on the western edge of Tioga County. The slepy hamlet is on Route 34 midway between Waverly and Van Etten.  Take a walk and visit with the founders and former residents of the area.

Please be respectful and only do this cache during daylight hours.  Cache is not located on or near any headstones.

Lockwood is a hamlet by the west town line on NY-34. It was formerly called "Bingham's Mills" from the names of early settlers. The present name is after Belva Ann Lockwood, a prominent suffragist who taught school for three years in nearby Owego.

Congrats to ♥Chivas♥Lucy♥Rip♥ on the FTF!!
