Park History
Murray Hill Four Corners Park is located in the Murray Hill Heights area of west Jacksonville. Murray Hill Heights is a 1907 replat of the northern section of the Edgewood subdivision platted in the 1880’s. The town of Murray Hill incorporated in 1916 and remained a separate municipality until its annexation by the City of Jacksonville in 1925. The City acquired the park property in six deeds between 1925 and 1939. The passive park takes its name from the property’s location at the four corners of the Lawnview Street and Lamboll Avenue intersection. With input and assistance from the Murray Hill Preservation Association, the City completed an improvement project in 1995 that included a lighted walking and jogging trail (internal to the park), and new benches, irrigation spigots, and trash receptacles.
2014 JAXPARKS GeoChallenge:
The City of Jacksonville has teamed up with The Friends of Jax Parks to bring you the third annual The JaxParks GeoChallenge. This year, the Friends of Jax Parks have hidden 30 new caches that will let you explore a diverse selection of parks around Jacksonville.
Geocaching is an outdoor adventure game similar to a treasure hunt played with a GPS device. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, take a trinket from the cache, leave something of greater or equal value in return for the next person and then share your experiences online. There are over two million active geocaches around the world and now with the JAXPARKS GeoChallenge you can explore Jacksonville's parks.

Disclaimer to New Geocachers:
Please join us in playing! All are welcome who observe and obey the rules. Please do not move or vandalize the container. Replace the cache like or better than you found it and when you leave, make sure the cache is completely covered. The real treasure is just finding the container and sharing your thoughts with everyone who finds it.
