A very nice loop hike can be done over both North and South Doublehead. The trail to South Doublehead continues to some more views. It is worth the walk. For a short hike, one gets into the spruce-fir forest and it feels like one is in total wilderness.
This cache is a small tin in a non-winter friendly location. From various outlooks near this location one can see North Doublehead, Moriah, Mountain Pond and Kearsarge. Parking is off Dundee Rd at the North Doublehead end of the loop. Walk up the road for about 0.4 mile if you want to do South Doublehead first.
