Geocache Description:

This location was originally settled by the McGinty family, who where pioneers in this area.  The house with the red roof that you see here was built in 1914 and moved here from another area of the county.  The original house was thought to be built with Box and Plank construction.  This is where one layer of 1" by 12" is secured standing up vertically and second layer nailed horizontally on the inside.  This was covered with cloth wallpaper.  Ship lap was used on the outside of the house, then later stucco.

The current owners, after extensive remodeling, have made this house into a bed and breakfast.  You can sleep in the house and they have places for your horses, too!  You may also see their vineyards nearby, which produce many award-winning wines.  The owners also have an annual lavender harvest by the bed and breakfast.
