Geocache Description:

The search for this cache begins at the Mount Hope Church and cemetery in Blue Knob, PA.

This cache is named after our great-great-grandfather who helped rebuild the church in 1925. With the original build being in 1852, this church and its congregations have created a large portion of Blue Knob's history. The cemetery is the final resting place for Veterans as far back as the Revolutionary War, founding church members, and family members - even great-great-grandpap Elmer.

This is the first cache placement for 2 young brothers who enjoy caching, the outdoors, and doing both with family. The plush trackables are theirs so please do your best to move them along as the directions request.  FTF gets the bag of 3 official Geocache swag items.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. This cache is located on Pennsylvania State Gamelands with 2 parking areas available depending on your preference. Please be respectful of the hunters and WEAR ORANGE. Expect to hike roundtrip 2.2 miles from 1st parking area or 1.2 miles from the 2nd parking area.
2. These public Gamelands are bordered by private landowners who have requested that their property remain PRIVATE.  State Gamelands borders are marked by large white painted dots on trees (there is an attached photo).  Please observe these boundaries and only use the specified roads and trails in this description.
3. There is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE in this very remote area. Please hike with a friend, be aware of the weather, and alert others of your intended destination.

There is a dirt road beside the cemetery called Brumbaugh Road. The 1st parking area is a grassy area behind the cemetery. The road can be muddy depending on the season and is not maintained in the winter. The gate and 2nd parking area to the Gamelands is 0.4 miles from the cemetery. To reach the Gamelands you must follow Brumbaugh Road bearing left on Gamelands Road which will end at the gate and parking lot.

After entering the gate on foot, follow the road about 0.6 miles to the area of the cache.  You will walk on the cleared road and will encounter a Y where you will stay to the right side.

The cache is a clear plastic ammo box and depending on the season may require a little bushwacking. If you fall for one of the decoys, please reset them for the next folks. There is heavy tree cover so the last portion of the trip may be tough to acquire the exact GPS coordinates, but if you reach the powerline you have gone too far.
