Roosevelt is the northernmost beach in the string of beautiful beaches that make up Half Moon Bay State Park. It has convenient picnic tables next to the parking lot, restrooms, easy access to the ocean, amazing whale watching, and great surfing and kite surfing. From the beach you can see north to Pillar Point Harbor, out to the jagged rocks at Mavericks, and south to the cliffs below the golf course.
The State Beach is open from 8:00am to sunset, so please visit within those hours. The parking lot is accessed from Young Ave. There is a day use fee. Limited street parking is available in the adjacent neighborhood. No dogs are allowed on the beach, but they can be kept on a leash in the parking area, the picnic area, and on the Coastside Trail.
