This is the third cache in my In Memoriam series, which commemorates lost places or people from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
John H. Goodrow was rector of St. John's Episcopal Church for many years. He noticed a need in the community for people who "fell through the cracks." He would go have a meal with his colleagues and ask them to shell out cash so that he could help those in need. After his death, the John H. Goodrow fund was established as a not for profit agency that served people in Mt. Pleasant who hadp one-time, but significant needs, for decades. It has sadly recently closed its doors.
