The tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) is only found on the 420 km coastal strip between Busselton and Jurien Bay. It is one of the rarest types of forest in the world. It is estimated that 30,300 hectares of tuart woodland remain, representing barely 35% of the original (limited) distribution. Of this, less than 2000 hectares is recognised as "tall tuart", underlining just how precious this piece of bushland is.
To get to this cache you will have to walk through bushland, please take care where you walk.
