Bliss je název výchozí tapety v operačním systému Microsoft Windows XP. Je to obraz zvlněného zeleného kopce a modrou oblohou s mraky typu cirrus a cumulus. Vyobrazená krajina se nachází v Los Carneros, americké vinařské oblasti Sonoma County v Californii.
Bývalý fotograf z National Geographic, Charles O'Rear, vyfotil fotografii středoformátovým fotoaparátem při jeho cestě za svou přítelkyní v roce 1996. Domnívalo se, že obrázek byl digitálně upraven nebo že byl dokonce vytvořen pomocí software, jako je Adobe Photoshop. O'Rear toto však popřel. Prodal jej do Corbis pro použití jako fotografie. O několik let později, inženýři společnosti Microsoft vybrali digitalizovanou verzi obrazu pro použití ve Windows XP.
Celé další desetiletí se prohlašovalo, že se z tohoto snímku stala nejsledovanější fotografie na světě v té době. Od doby jejího pořízení se krajina změnila. Na kopci byla vysázena vinná réva, což znemožnilo O'Rearovi pořídit duplikát. To ale nezastavilo další fotografy a jejich pokusy pořídit podobný snímek. Některé z jejich pokusů byly zahrnuty do uměleckých exponátů.
Podobnou krajinu můžete vidět i z místa, kde se nachází keška. Mějte na paměti, že na poli bývá seto obilí, takže v letních měsících již barva nemusí být zelená jako na původní fotografii. Pokud si budete chtít pořídit snímek, doporučujeme použít fotoaparát se širokoúhlým objektivem.

Former National Geographic photographer Charles O'Rear, a resident of the nearby Napa Valley, took the photo on film with a medium-format camera while on his way to visit his girlfriend in 1996. While it was widely believed later that the image was digitally manipulated or even created with software such as Adobe Photoshop, O'Rear says it never was.[1] He sold it to Corbis for use as a stock photo. Several years later, Microsoft engineers chose a digitized version of the image and licensed it from O'Rear.
Over the next decade it has been claimed to be the most viewed photograph in the world during that time.[2] Since it was taken, the landscape in it has changed, with grapevines planted on the hill and field in the foreground, making O'Rear's image impossible to duplicate for the time being. That has not stopped other photographers from trying, and some of their attempts have been included in art exhibits.
You can see similar landscape from the place where the cache is located. Keep in mind, that on the field is being growed grain, so in the color of the hill during summer months can differ from original image. If you want to take a picture, we reccomend using the camera with a wide angle lens.
