The dual carriageway Victorian Hume Highway had been completed for quite a while before anyone thought of putting a few more stops along its length. As the road now bypasses all the towns on its path, some extra places for motorists to pull over for a rest were sorely needed. This is a revamped one just past the Benalla turn-off. It is known as Reef Hills Southbound Rest Area. (I'm guessing after the Reef Hills State Park, a little south, that holds a few more caches.)
Thanks to Rhinogeo for the extra information about this stop.
Please be wary of muggles. They usually don't stop for long, so a short wait should see them gone. But they do appear quickly.
