Nissastrand
Nissastrand är ett ungt bostadskvarter som ligger i Gamletullsområdet i Halmstad. Tidigare låg här industrier i området men sedan dessa flyttat togs det vid milleniemskiftet beslut om att anlägga bostäder i området. Namnet Gamletull härstammar från den så kallade landtullen. Mellan åren 1622-1810 skulle tull erläggas för varor, som från landet skulle införas till städerna.
Nissastrand gränsar till ån Nissan. Idag finns det en vacker strandpromenad utmed hela området. Arkitekturen ger en känsla av att befinna sig på ett fartyg, staketet utmed Nissan är utformat som en reling.
Utmed strandpromenaden finns flera bänkar där man kan slå sig ner och betrakta vattnet i Nissan som sakta flyter förbi. I närheten finns Filtparken där man kan sträcka ut sig på en filt i gräset efter att man har loggat cachen.

ENG Nissastrand is a young residential area located in Gamletull area in Halmstad. Previously there was industries in the area but since they were moved a decision was taken in year 2000 to build housing. The name Gamletull derives from the so-called country-side custom. Between the years 1622-1810 customs duty would be paid on goods brought in to the city from the country.
Nissastrand is placed along the river Nissan. Today, there is a beautiful boardwalk along the entire area. The architecture gives the feeling that you are on a ship, the fence along the Nissan is designed as a gunwale.
Along the boardwalk there are several benches where you can sit down and look at the water which slowly floats by. In the "Filtpark" (Filtpark means blanket park in swedish), nearby the cache you can stretch out in the grass after the cache is found.
