I 2010 ble kunstner Torhild Storvik Malmedal sin skulptur, Kvinnen mot havet avduket. Den symboliserer alle de fiskerkvinnene som gjennom århundrer har stått oppå haugene og speidet utover havet etter nettopp sin fisker...kanskje forgjeves.
Her har Skottenbygda fått i stand et flott friluftsområde med både badestrand, kyststi og flotte rasteplasser.

In 2010 the artist Torhild Storvikneset Malmedal's sculpture, Woman against ocean, was unveiled.
It symbolizes all the fishing women who for centuries have stood up in the hills, gazing out to sea by just their fisherman ... maybe in vain.
