Geocache Description:

This is a LETTERBOX HYBRID geocache.

It contains a personalized stamp and inkpad for your convenience.

They are not trade items. Please do not take with you.

To start, letterboxing is older than geocaching.  A small word of advise for newbie LBHybrid seekers: bring with you a small stamp (either buy at craft store or carve your own from an old eraser) and a journal to log all your letterbox geocaches (yes there are lots around in the world, you simply need to find them).  Use your stamp to "sign" the log inside the cache and in turn use the cache's stamp to put ink to your own personal logbook.

LET'S BEGIN!!

After you park at the parking waypoint, make your way down the old trail to the posted coordinates.  Your adventure will begin there!  You should see a very obvious snowmobile STOP sign.  Face the hexagon so your nose is almost touching (haha, just kidding, but do face it please).  You are then going to turn right 90 degrees and face a big spruce tree.  You will then take 9 steps towards it, finding yourself standing in the middle of the gravelly remains of Old Hwy.17. Still facing the spruce, turn 90 degrees left.  Ahead you should see a clearing.  Take a quick glance around.  Ahead you will see an dominant cluster of White birch trees.  Do you see the "Y" shaped one?  Walk to it.  As you do, walk around the front of the "Y" tree so your back is against it and that you are now facing another cluster of White Birch trees in front of you.  Great!  Now turn 90 degrees right from where you are standing.  Now you will see a black spruce tree that looks pretty scraggly and dark.  Take a few steps toward it to claim the Letterbox container.  Trade loot evenly, and leave your ink print.  There is no pencil inside.  If you must sign traditionally, please bring your own writing stick. Hide as found so no muggles can't discover it.
