I was recently passing by Central Park, which I hadn't visited in several years, and I was amazed by how much it's been improved since I was last there. I was also amazed that it didn't contain a geocache!
The area of the city around Central Park is very popular with newcomer families, who in recent years have immigrated mostly from Africa. As I wandered through the park, seeing all the recent newcomers, I almost felt as though I was being transported to another country and another culture.
Being a bit of a xenomaniac myself (I love to travel and experience new places and new customs), I loved the feeling of being immersed, if only momentarily, into a group of people who have customs and a culture distinct from what I'm used to.
