Geocache Description:

Major props to VA Breeze for the FTF. Major relief that VA Breeze did not tumble into the abyss.

Cache is indeed Wheel chair accessible, but it is adjacent to  a very nasty drop.  Please read the entire description before you seek this cache.

Park hours are daytime only. Please do not seek at night.

Cache was placed in the vicinity of an intentionally ironic historical marker on a small observation deck in Pump House park.  There are 110 locks on the canal below you.  Each lock raises a boat about ten feet.   And yes, George Washington Ate Here.

I do not recommend this cache for families with small children.  The undergrowth is very dense and it is difficult to determine where the Terra Firma ends and the nasty plummet begins.  I placed the cache in the presence of a park employee.  You do not need to hang off of the observation deck to find it.  Cache is not under or on the historical marker.  That is where the Wasps live.  The cache is on the ground.
