This handsome gothic church 1823-24 by James Thomson sits in a prominent position in the village surrounded by it's graveyard. The church is built of the local dark whinstone and is in excellent decorative and structural condition. The square tower has a clock on three of the four faces.
Galleried interion. Electric organ and sound system record the services for the house bound. Various items relating to the life of Jane Haining Scottish missionary who died in Auschwitz are displayed in the church.
