Geocache Description:

The cache is an ammo can near the entrance to Georgia Wildlife Federation's Alcovy Conservation Center

Georgia Wildlife Federation is Georgia's oldest sportsman/conservation organization founded in 1936. GWF has worked tirelessly to protect Georgia's natural resources while protecting Georgian's access to those resources. GWF operates many great programs including Hunters for the Hungry, Turn in Poachers, Camocoalition and educational programs for all ages.

The preamble to GWF's Constitution reads:

To encourage the intelligent management of the life sustaining resources of the earth - its essential water resources - its protective forests and plant life - and its dependent wildlife- and to promote and encourage the knowledge and appreciation of these resources, their interrelationship and wise use, without which there can be little hope for a continuing abundant life.

Come to get the smilie & if you have time, visit the visitors center & take a stroll on the awesome nature trail along Cornish Creek!

Geocache placed with permission from the property manager.

There is a FTF Medal for the first cacher. Happy caching!
