This cache is a result of my attempts to try and find the elusive Hamilton Creek Caves that are supposed to exist in this area. I found a reference to these caves on the park notes for Bunyip State Park management plan (I enjoy a bit of light reading). After a bit of research I thought I knew the rough location of the caves, but after a semi-exhaustive search I gave up and decided to place some caches. I will be back to search for the caves again one day, so look out for more caches coming in this area soon!
I discovered this unamed hill whilst out looking for these caves, I climbed to the top and decided to name it after myself!
There is no need to trespass on private property to reach this cache. There is only one way in and out to this cache and that is along Lupton Track. Check out the map below. You can access Lupton track from the corner of Tynong North Road and Camp Road or via Avards Track, which leaves Tynong North Road a bit further south. Follow Lupton Track over the top of Mt Weatherhead and make your way along the ridgeline to the intersection with Gregory Track, continue straight ahead and up Day's Hill. Please note, although the map shows three other tracks, "Weatherhead Hill Track", "Hail Track" and "Gregory Track", these run through private property and you cannot gain access via these tracks anymore.

Once at the top, near a pile of rocks there is a tree. It is hidden in the base of the tree, behind some rocks.
Please note that only walkers, horse riders or cyclists are allowed along this track. 4WDing and trailbikes are not allowed.
As I said I will be conducting further research and attempting to find these caves again in the future, so if you're interested in helping me, send me a message!
Do not attempt this cache on days of "extreme" or "code red" bushfire rated days and you should seriously consider leaving it alone on days rated as "severe" or even "very high".
