Trollegater Nature Reserve
Trollegater is a fascinating and dramatic array of cracks and caves in the bedrock. The name comes from a Swedish word meaning ”troll paths”, and in times gone by people were careful not to venture here after nightfall. Today, however, the trolls seemed to have moved elsewhere and the area has become a popular destination for excursions. Some caves are relatively easily negotiated, so you can explore them on your own.
It's a good idea to bring a helmet and flashlight if you want to venture down in the caves, but this wherigo will not require you to do so.
Välkommen till Trollegater
Bakom det fantasieggande namnet döljer sig ett märkligt och spännande system av sprickor och grottor i berggrunden. Flera grottor är förhållandevis lätta att ta sig fram i och lämpar sig för upptäcktsfärder på egen hand. I huvudgrottan kan du ta dig runt i en över 100 meter lång slinga! Den säregna formationen är ett verk av inlandsisen, men riktigt hur det gått till finns det delade meningar om.
Det är en bra ide att ta med sig en hjälm och ficklampa om man vill gå ner i grottorna, men denna wherigo kommer inte kräva att du gör det.
