O'Brien (O'Bryan) Cemetery is located along a gated road above the O'Brien Branch just off Kentucky Lake Drive (USFS Road 101). The cemetery contains nine marked graves. The only known grave is that of S. F. Jones (Oct. 27, 1890 - Jan. 30, 1891).
The sligthly overgrown, but walkable road leads to Pilgram's Rest Overlook, which I thought was the former location of Pilgram's Rest Church. The church's was actually located 0.48 miles due north on the radio tower road where it turns south after cresting the ridge line.
PLEASE REHIDE THE CONTAINER AS FOUND.
I do not know why TVA or the USFS close the road. But DO NOT attempt to drive beyond the gate. Parking is available before the just off Kentucky Lake Drive. There is not need to pull up to the gate. Remember to pull completely off the main road.
