The East Union Lutheran Church cemetery shares a rich history with the 152-year-old church it surrounds. The cemetery land was acquired in 1856 but not laid out in lots until 1876. A Cemetery Society was formed in 1910, and in 1982 a constitutional amendment was adopted by the church council to continue the care and administration of the cemetery by a Cemetery Committee. The cemetery includes the graves of thirty Civil War veterans and generations of East Union families going back five or six generations.
The coordinates will bring you to a particular gravestone that I thought geocachers would appreciate. There is NO tree climbing attribute here though. To get the coordinates of the final, consider:
Mr Carlson has how many letters in his first name. Consider this A.
Ms Carlson passed away in what month (ie, May = 5). Consider this B.
Final Coordinates:
N44.43.(A+B)(A)(A-1)
W093.40.AAB
