Time: 6:30pm until ? (Park closes at 11:00pm)

The Mrs. and I really enjoyed the two previous Cook Your Own Dog events that we have been to so we decided to host a Cook Your Own Dog event in a picnic area at Silver Lake State Park on International Geocaching Day. Silver Lake State Park is located in the southwest corner of the lake. It has a boat launch, picnic areas, fishing access, a kayak launching cove (with a nearby paddle cache!), and of course a few geocaches.
For those of you that have never been to a CYOD event this is how it works. We supply the dogs for roasting, fire to roast the dogs on, sticks to roast the dogs with, bun to wrap the dogs in, and all the good stuff to cover the dogs with. You bring your beverage of choice, a lawn chair, your best roasting stick twirling skills, and your lies, tall tales, and caching adventure stories for everyone's amusement around the campfire. Got a dish to share? Bring it along although it is not required. Everything goes good with hot dogs! Even S'Mores!!! (Let's try this again, Huck!
)
**Please post a will attend if you plan on coming and how many there will be with you.**
Check out Cyrs71 and RockNessMonster's event, Cookies & Cache #2, earlier in the day in Letchworth State Park and make it a twofer! Two events, two state parks, and two souvenirs all in one International Geocaching Day!
We are looking forward to this event and hope to see you there. Now get to practicing your twirling skills.
