This little church is dedicated to St Neofytos the Recluse. Born in Kato Drys in 1134 of impoverished farmers. 1 of 8 children he taught himself to read and write and studied the sciptures learning many by heart. A hermit as his title suggests he spent mostr of his life living in a cave in the Paphos district only starting the monistary which bears his name after he was odained an Orthodox Priest in 1170. He died in 1214 and was buried in his cave. The church has been restored in loving memory of George M Solomou by his sister the Nun Anna
