Nestled in the heart of Aviemore and a short walk from the train station there are plenty of tempting distractions as you walk toward the Birch clad Hill of Craigellachie which looms over the Resort who are greatly thanked for allowing the placement of the Cache.
Aviemore is a Scottish Highland Town that originated back in the 1600s and grew in size in the 1800s being a junction of the Highland Railway. It is now quite likely the most active tourist town in Scotland having evolved from being a ski resort in the 1960s to the extensive tourist destination that it now is with hundreds of activities, places to visit, things to do, eateries and accommodation.
