This cache will take you to an area that was part of the Oakdale grounds. I have done a lot of research on this old property and it is interesting to go out and walk around and picture in your mind what it may have been like 30 or 40 years ago here. You will find old broken down fences, remains of iron gates, and hedge rows that are over grown and out of control, but it is obvious that at one time they were probably meticulously maintained.
This cache is a micro and log only. You will need to BYOP. Probably won't need an extraction tool but might be a good idea to have one handy just in case. I would suggest approaching the GZ from the east (or southeast) for the least amount of bush wacking. It is possible to access from the south or west but I will tell you that you might regret trying it from those directions. As it says above, be careful of hidden hazards on the ground as you make your way to the GZ. Long pants, good shoes and bug spray is also a good idea. Slow and steady is probably my best advice. I would NOT suggest attempting this cache at night!
Cache container is not on the ground (or it shouldn't be). If you are about 5' tall or taller, you should be able to reach it from the ground. Please place the container back as you found it so the next cacher has the same fun finding it as you had. Not an easy P&G cache but worth the trip if you like to hunt for the challanging caches! Have fun and stay safe!
