A Fisherman's Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoCrater: I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no word from the owner in the month or more since the last reviewer note was posted. If you want to re-activate the cache during the next couple of months, please contact GeoCrater to see if that's possible. If the cache meets current guidelines, consideration will be given based on the circumstances surrounding the original archival.

NOTE: My preferred method of communication is through notes on the cache page in question. However, should you wish to use email - please do not select "reply". In general, a replay to the geocaching.com mail bot will not reach me. Instead, please go to your cache page and e-mail GeoCrater from the log there or email me directly at geocrater@gmail.com, referencing the cache URL, or waypoint number.

Additional translation added as I support a number of countries:

Geocache Description:

This is my very first Geocache to create and hide and it is a tribute to my first husband who loved to fish!!!  His love began at an early age from fishing with his grandfather and he always said that when he was fishing, it made him feel close to him even though he had passed away.

The first set of coordinates will take you to his grave and the second set of coordinates will take you to the cache.  Don’t be intimidated by it being a multi-cache.  This being my first cache to hide, I kept it pretty simple and not too complicated.

You will know you are at the correct marker when you see and learn the following three things. 1) His love for fishing, 2) What kind of a man he was and 3) what he was good at.

Once you find it, look at the death year on the marker and add all four of the digits together and add 20 to the total.  Add this two digit number to the latitude listed above. You'll end up with the correct latitude for the cache location.

Now look at the birth year on this marker and add all four of the digits together and add 4 to the total.  Take this total and add this two digit number to the longitude listed above to get the correct longitude for the cache location, thereby completing the coordinates needed for finding the cache.

The final cache is hidden in typical geocaching style and has all things fishing inside. Trade if you like, but please keep any trades, fishing related to keep with the theme of the cache.  Be sure and sign the logbook while there.   A pen is inside the cache container.  Please re-hide like you found it, and as always, be respectful while visiting. I hope you enjoy!

Congratulations to ScubDu and Bizzyb for the First to Find honors!
