This is one of a series of caches which make up a nice circular walk of about 2.5 miles and would be slightly easier going the anti-clockwise way round. All descriptions refer to the walk this way round also as there are some interesting things to see on the way. There's plenty of parking in the village which would be a great place to start and finish the walk, especially as there's a couple of pubs nearby when you've finished.
Heddon-on-the-Wall is located on the Hadrian's Wall Path, and contains the longest section of unbroken wall at its original and planned width, now known as Broad Wall. Later sections were not built to the full width to save time and money. 'Heddon' means 'hill where heather grew'
Congratulations!
This was g.o.caching's 1500th cache!
